Afternoon Delight!

Peach Cream Crumble or as I like to call it "Afternoon Delight"
Our Favorite Lite Summer Treat

This is just too delicious not to share.  It has to be my hands down favorite dessert!  The key ingredient fresh peaches.  I'm not saying this is a "healthy pie"  but when it comes down to it, for desserts it's not a bad one.

It seems to be quite a hit at our cook outs and heck we've even eaten the whole thing our selves.  I can't wait for you to try it!

Here's what you will need

-->
Ingredients
·      1 Box  of Sugar & Cinnamon Graham Crackers  (1 package from the box)
·      1 box (French) Vanilla Instant Pudding Mix (use the pie filling instructions)
·      Milk (1    3/4th cup)
·      1 regular container Cool Whip
·      Peaches - about 5
·      Butter  2-4 Tbl spoons

You will also need a round standard pie dish

-->
Step 1 Pudding-
·      Make the Instant vanilla pudding- directions are on side of the pudding box. Stir in medium bowl for a good minute and then place in the fridge.  It will set in 5 minutes

So we will make the crust while that’s setting

Step 2 Crust-
·      Turn oven on at 350 degrees
·      Don’t open the Sugar Cinnamon Graham Cracker package just yet.  Take 1 entire sleeve and brake up the graham crack, until small/fine bits
·      Melt 2-4 Tbl spoons of butter (or more if you want the crust to be less crumbly)
·      Mix the crumbles of graham cracker together with the butter
·      Then press firmly into the bottom of the pie pan, (if u used less butter it will still be really crumbly) place in the oven (at 350 degrees) for about 15-20 minutes - just until it’s golden brown. (You may not use all the crumbles – just set aside and we’ll use them on top).

Take out and put a side to cool – turn off oven. That’s all the baking required.

Step 3 Peaches  -
·      Just wash and cut up the peaches into bite size pieces, and put them in pie pan on the crust, spread out evenly

Step 4 Cream -
·       Add a little less then 1/2 the container of cool whip (see picture above) to the pudding.  Mix together and then pour over top of the peaches.
·      Pour cream over the peaches and crust
·      Sprinkle some graham cracker crumbles on top  (if desired) and place in fridge to cool.

You can really eat it whenever doesn’t have to cool long.  ENJOY!!

To make is less calories/sugar, if your concerned - you can always use sugar free instant vanilla pudding mix, skim milk, fat free sugar free cool whip and regular graham crackers.

You can also mix in or do this with any other fruits ;)

For the chocolate lovers you may want to try (buy) a chocolate graham cracker crust or an oreo crust.

Hope you love it as much as my family does!

Please share your favorite summer dessert!

A bit of Structure

So Remodelista is just another fab blog i follow check these out - what a cool idea!

I would so use these for benches, or a coffee table  - stand one on end and you have a high kitchen/bar table, a shorter one could be used as a side table.  Killer idea!

The structure it-self is a beautiful sculpture - Im blown away by Allied Works Architecture

Today was the day!  I was going to knock out my boo's desk. He finally has wrapped on his project so I am allowed to unplug the computer - happy day, happy day! List in hand, great breakfast and we were off.

Well good morning ruined, the wood we finally chose was temporarily sold out, Go figure. So can't just bail completely so we ended up getting everything else for the room except the desk.  You know just the main part of the work station, no big.

I get it already nothing is easy! Sooo plan B go mope in my room online and look cool projects.  These are mind blowing worthy.

Ok so this one caught my eye. I have recently become quite an herb enthusiast myself  (I have basil, cilantro, and rosemary growing on my kitchen window sill, right now). I didn't realize how much fresh basil could bring to the table. Anyways check it out.  Its a shoe holder! from Planetgreen.discovery.com . It's a great sight for my fellow "green" freaks.
