Paris

If you were wondering where I disappeared to, you would probably never guess Europe.  I finally made it. Something I have always wanted to do. Camera in hand, my Love beside me, and weeks later here are some snap shots of our travels. More places to come.

D.I.Y. Halter

Simple DO IT YO-SELF halter.  All you need is a shirt and some scissors.
No sewing required.

Vintage shirts make the coolest halters.  Or your boy friends -T u love (just make sure you ask him before you steel it and cut it up, just sayin)

I used some T's that I havent worn in forever. I like to take my scissors out every once and get creative (ok more like when I can't spend any money on new cloths).  Whatever your reason:  it's hot as shit out, your broke. It's a fun way to re-use what you have.

Feelin cray?
Use the end of the sleeve to make a headband.

I'm a pretty simple girl but u can always hot glue on beads, pearls, feathers, bling stuff and make it your own.

America Day!

For me the 4th of july has become a celebration of pie, a ton of food, alcohol, corn-hole, the beach and most important, fun-ass people.

Our complex threw our classic Party! or should I say Rage-Fest.
Meet the Fam at 22 19th Ave.

Here's a story ... (Brady Bunch theme song would be playing right now)  of a complex that just likes to have  a ton of fun

PIE TIME
A few friends have asked for my "American Pie" recipe on FB. I have posted it before, just under a different name (i make a new name up for whatever holiday it is) and it 's so simple and not to horrible for you.

Its just my classic Nectorine and Black/Raspberry Cream Pies.  Guaranteed super delicious!!!

It's basically a graham cracker crust (i prefer the cinnamon graham crackers) with your favorite fruit.  Then the cream is 1 part cool whip to 1 part instant french vanilla pudding (be sure to make the pudding first, with just 2 cups of milk; I use almond milk, then mix together) click HERE for the complete recipe.

Things just needed to be brightened up
Just a touch

Finally finished my painting too

Color just makes me happy - the "real" world is just to dang serious.

Hope you had a great 4th!!!  xoxo

Fun Work

MORNING!!
You know those mornings where you feel like you can conquer the world. Then, realize there is about 5 different directions you could go in: I'm feeling creative, I want to finish this project, Ooo but this would be sick too...  aahhh  :)  in a good way.  Well that is me on most days and there is never enough time.  However with being an artist and trying to always get 5 things at once done with some chores, cooking and cleaning in-between.

the usu - on the go live out of my car style is typical right, up and out early and down to the OC.
I got a call from my awesome girl friend Lizzie who is moving into a new studio apartment. So i jumped at the chance to hang out with her and help pull together what she wanted for her home.

Rad- refinishing project
So we looked at what furniture that could be given to her for FREE, and did a little shopping.  We didn't find anything that compared to these solid hard wood piece.  So we opted to refinish them, quite a lot of them.  Here is just one - we definitely need a sander, but as you can see they are  PrEty sweet!

More to come on Lizzie's project in a few weeks ;)
I seem to always Opt for refinishing something - why throw it out when you can give it a new look with a little  hard work.

If you know me, you know I've been stuck on this triangular color idea forever: To do this same look on a giant wall somewhere. (as you can see, I'm not done yet, few more spots to fill in)  So to get it out of my head i decided to paint a small canvas, I was going to paint the wall behind my headboard - maybe one day, or one of my awesome clients may let me. Fingers Crossed.

Here is my new little work of art :) Yes dad, that is a tattoo, don't kill me. but I LOVE IT! Look how pretty! My bangles cover it most of the time, so it's truly for me. It's a helpful little reminder.

K gotta run - more bright fun things to come.
